Rodger Lyle Syfert Obituary (1961

Rodger L. Syfert, 55, of Keosauqua died at 8:28 P.M. Sunday July 31, 2016 in the emergency room of Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. He was born May 12, 1961 in Keosauqua to Rex and Elouise Muntz Syfert and lived his life in the community. Rodger graduated from Van Buren High School, was a carpenter with Kisling Construction Company and has been a technician with Van Buren Telephone Company for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Tarrah Syfert (Jacob Cassens) of Iowa City, a son, Tanner Syfert and Rodger's parents of Keosauqua, four brothers, Ardith Syfert (Linda) of Osage Beach, MO, Jerry Syfert (Joan) of Keosauqua, Dennis Syfert (Diana) of Birmingham and Richard Syfert (Lisa) of Bettendorf, a sister, Susan Branscom of Kirksville, MO, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Syfert. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 4, 2016 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Visitation will open at 2 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with family present 5-7 P.M. Cremation will follow the service.
