Doris "Smokey" Kay (Fetters) White Obituary (1955

Doris "Smokey" Kay White, 60, of Richland died at 4:14 A.M. Sunday March 27, 2016 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City. She was born August 13, 1955 in Le Claire to Myron S. and Eunice E. Irelan Fetters. She married Richard White in Memphis, they later divorced. Doris grew up in Davis County and attended Davis County Schools. Here early married life was spent in Wapello and Keokuk Counties where she worked at many different factory jobs. For the last 25 years she had resided in Richland with her long-time companion, Finley Mondia. Doris loved animals especially her dog, Jake, she also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Surviving are her companion, Finley Mondia of Richland, a daughter, Chris Mondia of Richland, two sons, Travis Mondia of Richland and Davin Mondia (April) of Richland, four grandchildren, two sisters, Deb Barnes of Eldon and Sharen Golland (Tony) of Council Bluffs, many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herman and John Fetters, a sister, Susan Ward and a grandson, Tyson Mondia In accordance with Doris's wishes her body has been cremated and no services are planned. Private interment of cremains will be at a later date in the Friends Cemetery, Richland. Memorials to University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center may be mailed to the family at P.O. Box 341, Richland, IA 52585. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua is assisting the family.
