Danita Joan Cox Obituary (1958 - 2023)

Danita Joan Cox, 64, of Keosauqua, IA passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. As were her wishes her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. On March 4, there will be a celebration of life at the Letts Community Center, Letts Iowa. A service for the family will start at 4:00 pm. Friends of Danita and the family are invited to attend at 5:00. Food and drinks will be provided. Memorial contributions in Danita's honor may be directed to the family and mailed to 4125 N. 1100th Ave., Lynn Center, IL 61262. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com. Danita Joan Cox was born on July 4, 1958, in California to Paul and LouDell Jasper. Danita married Zachary Harbit prior to her graduation from Muscatine High School with the class of 1976, Danita and Zachary together had two daughters: Sarah and Brandy, later divorced. Danita met Robert in 1981, and the two married July 2, 1990, together they shared a daughter Jessika. Danita was a devoted wife, mother, and most of all grandma nene. Danita treated everyone she met as family, she had the biggest heart and loved everyone. She was a gifted baker, known for her rolls and homemade noodles. Danita loved to craft and loved to sew. She always enjoyed a good ride on their Harley Davidson. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Danita was preceded in death by her father, three siblings, one nephew, father-n-law, and her mother-n-law whom she cared for deeply. Left to share her story is her husband, Robert Cox of Keosauqua, IA; three daughters, Sarah (Adam) Axtell of Muscatine, IA, Brandy (Adam) Raisbeck of Fruitland, IA, and Jessika (Nathan) Lindgren of Lynn Center, IL; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Hilty of Moline, IL; twelve grandchildren; her mother, LouDell Jasper of Bella Vista, AK; three siblings, Shelley (Steve) Christensen, J.D. Jasper, and Yoko (Hong) Long, and many nieces and nephews.
