Randolph "Junior" Essary Jr., 85, of Eldon, IA passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home. A private burial will be held in the Eldon Cemetery in Eldon, IA. Randolph Essary Jr. or Junior as he was known to his friends and family was born on February 25, 1939, to Randolph Sr. and Mabel Moore Essary. He attended school in Eldon through 8th grade before joining the work force. He did odd jobs for several years until taking a job with the Rock Island Railroad in his late teens. He would work for the railroad for many years and through all their transitions until his retirement. On May 8, 1961, he married the love of his life Wilma Clark. Together they were the loving parents of three children. Junior worked hard all his life to help support his family. In his retirement he enjoyed tending to his garden and taking care of his yard. Junior was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Wilma and two siblings. Left to honor his memory are his three children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and 4 siblings.
